Programme
Objectif
A complete workflow for modern onlay preparation
During this one-and-half day workshop we will discuss the complete workflow for aesthetic solutions with direct and indirect restorations in cases of SUBGINGIVAL CAVITIES.
On the first day we will start with the fabrication of direct proximal restoration by using 3 different composites, a high-filled flowable, a fibre-reinforced and a high-properties paste, based on a clean and dry field.
The second day will be focused on indirect restoration of a subgingival cavity with an onlay.
We will discuss from preparation design to materials selection, characterization and luting applicable for the conventional or digital workflow. Also, how to perform a modern onlay finishing line design that will include guidelines on deep margin elevation in order to facilitate the marginal preparation and the luting procedure in challenging cases. Therefore, we will discuss in details different restorative materials and their indications for each clinical situation. Focus will be on the use of Lithium disilicate CAD/CAM blocks and its finalization and characterization. We will practice on how to achieve aesthetic indirect restorations with a simple polishing or painting technique.
The program will have a dedicated session for rubber dam isolation useful for the direct or indirect restorations.
